How It Works
- You rent an Alpha-Stim® AID device for a minimum of 4 weeks for $100. This will renew every 4 weeks until you wish to return your device.
- There is an initial $259 fully-refundable damage deposit.
- Payment will be made through monthly processing of a credit card which you will put on file with our office.
- You’re able to return your device at any point and will pay only for each full week that you've had it.
- The device you’ll be sent may be a previous rental model but will have undergone extensive cleaning, testing and supplied with brand new ear clips and sealed pads.
Example rental:
If you have the device for 5 weeks and 6 days then you will only be charged for 5 weeks
(a total of $125 with the $259 damage deposit being refunded).
• $259 damage deposit & $100 paid initially for the first 4 weeks required to be paid up front (+ $15 S&H).
Rent-to-Own Financing
Another popular financing option is our zero interest rent-to-own program. With these rental plans, both models Alpha-Stim® AID can be rented for as little as $100/month and returned anytime during the rental period with no further obligation. If you continue renting, all payments go towards owning your Alpha-Stim® AID.
If you prefer renting the combination M model, you can request a rental agreement for Alpha-Stim® M.
Rx Requirement
Federal law (USA only) restricts the sale of Alpha-Stim® AID devices by or on the order of a licensed healthcare practitioner. If you are not a current patient of Patterson Psych Group, PLLC, you can contact our office to schedule an assessment with one of our qualified practitioners in order to obtain the required documentation for home use.
Shipping & Return Policy
By default, we ship Alpha-Stim® devices, accessories and supplies by USPS Priority Mail (tracking information available) and your package will typically arrive in 2-3 business days, although delivery times through USPS are not guaranteed. USPS shipping is available Monday through Saturday, excluding all major U.S. holidays.
We can expedite your shipment (UPS 2nd Day or UPS Next Day Air) if you indicate this preference with your online or phone order. Please note that UPS shipping options are available Monday through Friday only, excluding all major U.S. holidays.
Please see our rental policy for instructions on returns of rental devices. For your protection, all packages should be sent to us through a traceable and insurable method. Please allow 21 days for us to process your credit.
Private Insurance Claims
Since Alpha-Stim® is a prescription device, this technology qualifies as a medical expense under health savings account (HSA) rules and we encourage clients to utilize their HSA accounts to purchase or rent Alpha-Stim devices for home use.
The Alpha-Stim® AID has a new HCPCS billing code (K1002) which is applicable when this device is prescribed for anxiety or insomnia. If you have private insurance we encourage you to self-file following purchase and we can assist you with this process. Please note, the Alpha-Stim® is always considered out-of-network at this time.
If you are a veteran with a practitioner at a VA facility, please speak with your practitioner about the Alpha-Stim®, as some facilities are dispensing the Alpha-Stim®.
Please note that Medicare and Medicaid (including Apple Health and OHP) are not covering Alpha-Stim® at this time and we are unable to file claims with them.
