Help for today, Hope for tomorrow

I moved to Asheville recently from Portland, Oregon, where I got my degree in Couple, Marital, and Family Counseling. My passion in life has always been about being there for others, and I have an extensive history working with children and adolescents. In my last year of undergrad, I realized that I also had a very deep connection with the idea of working with couples and families, and I have dedicated myself to that path ever since.

I love working with pre-teens (8-12), Teenagers (13-18), adults (18-50s), couples, and families. I mainly focus on working with anxiety, phobias, depression, "self betterment", relationship issues, family issues, stage-of-life transition issues, trauma work, and sexual issues with many of my individuals.

In my couples work, I've aided relationships in communication, infidelity, intimacy, sexuality, sexual issues, and premarital counseling. I am Gottman (level 1) trained in couples counseling, while also utilizing some Emotionally Focused Therapy aspects as well.

With individuals, I use many different techniques such as talk therapy, exposure therapy, sand-tray, mindfulness, thought/behavior logs, and acceptance and commitment therapy. I really like to make the therapy experience individualized for each client based on their needs, so whatever you are needing, I will always try my best to provide and nurture your growth with me. I also offer teletherapy for those who are uncomfortable or unable to meet in person!

I will also be running a group soon for those who feel they "suck at love", or who feel they have often struggled in relationships or in connecting with others. Dating sucks, falling in love can be scary, come talk it out with some people facing some similar struggles!

Thank you and hope to meet you soon!
