A NOTE FROM AMY:
Counseling is a collaborative process where I strive to create a safe and open environment for you to share your experiences. Areas that can be addressed through counseling include, but are not limited to grief and loss, depression, anxiety, traumatic experiences, life transitions, interpersonal conflicts, and problems with self-confidence. As we work together through the therapeutic process, we create and work toward goals that you want to achieve. We will adjust these goals to ensure that your needs are met quickly, so that you can get back to the best version of yourself.
As a counselor, I have about 2 years of clinical experience and am currently being supervised as a licensed clinical mental health counselor associate. I work with adults and adolescents struggling with depression, anxiety, life transitions, PTSD, self-harm, LGBTQ+ issues, bipolar and other mood disorders.
I practice through an eclectic approach and utilize Person-Centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Solution Focused therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and various other approaches in my practice. We will work together to find the best approach for you.
